My dear, , I recently read a Mayavadi's so-called teaching that we have a choice to be either a drop of water or to be the ocean. He says that if a drop of water is dissolved into the ocean it becomes the entire ocean. In other words he is saying that if one merges into God he becomes God.
So let us analyze this intelligently. One drop of water contains 1.67 sextillion water molecules. If you are wondering what a sextillion is, here's how to understand it. The progression of larger and large numbers is like this. A thousand millions is a billion. A thousand billions is a trillion. A thousand trillions is a quadrillion. A thousand quadrillions is a quintillion. And a
thousand quintillions is a sextillion.
So it is an outrageously large number. And this is all within one drop of water. If we put one drop of water into the ocean those water molecules still maintain their individual identities. Thus the concept of losing one's individual identity when one becomes fully spiritually enlightened is a bogus
concept not supported by scientific analysis or by the authoritative Vedic literatures.
However seeking fame, money, and followers the rascal Mayavadis continue propagating such bogus ideas misguiding the innocent people away from devotion to the Supreme Lord. Therefore our mission is to defeat these Mayavadis. This is something I very much
want to do. This is why I have posted this today in Thought for the Day.
